Hi, Andrea here.

It hit me hard getting diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, the fastest growing and the most aggressive cancer that exists.

This was a BIG deal!

Up until then I have had relatively few health challenges in my entire life.

With all the experience I have as a zesty business and personal coach for over 25 years, and knowing better, even I have been really overwhelmed and worried at times about everything that’s going on in my medical journey. For example, navigating all the doctors, scheduling, then taking all the tests, getting the results, and, ‘star of the show,’ starting chemo with the strongest cocktail on the market, called Red Devil, no less.  It is truly OMG!

However, once I got over the initial shock, I had a meeting with myself.
I quickly came to the conclusion that I couldn’t imagine myself sitting around doing nothing.  I come with the gene that’s all about making a difference, especially with wonderful women just like you.

Here’s what I know: At any given time, most of us women are dealing with something significant in our life that’s truly challenging.  And the main reason for that is because we all wear so many hats.

For example, it could be that not only are you an amazing Mom – you might also be taking care of your aging parents. This is no small feat, my friend.

Or you may have kids, and you’re juggling your work life around them – equally challenging.

 

Being the wonderful smart woman that you are, when you’re dealing with a big challenge, you can easily default to worry, fear or self-doubt.

And when you do, you automatically step out of being in this moment right now, and then you go negative, expecting the worst, not the best.

You try to be strong for everyone around you by keeping how you’re feeling to yourself.  So, unless they are psychic, they have no idea what you are going through.

Now, before you beat yourself up, let me assure you that it’s understandable if whatever you’re going through is overwhelming.  In my case, all of this medical stuff is a whole new world, as well as a whole new language that I don’t speak.

However, giving in to worry, fear and self-doubt doesn’t help or solve anything.  In fact, it usually makes it much worse!

And going it alone makes everything much tougher than it needs to be.


So, are you asking yourself: ‘How on earth am I going to pull myself out of all that by myself?’

To which I reply, ‘Great question! There’s no need!’

 

When you find yourself giving in to worry, letting those gremlins – those negative voices in your head – run the show, it will definitely not make anything easier.  In fact, it will only make everything harder.

And it doesn’t have to be this way.

Let me repeat.  Worry is all about expecting the worst out in the future.


In truth, you actually only have this moment right now, and then this moment right now.

Being in the NOW will help you breathe, which in turn will give you access to remembering who you really are and how strong you actually are.

Always remember you don’t have to go it alone.
